In a nutshell

The Sales Director is responsible for driving sales performance within Eastern Europe cluster (Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech, Ukraine, Slovakia and Bulgaria).

The aim of the Sales Department is to sell machines and services and offer our customers meaningful and value-adding solutions. We specialize in providing them with the most advanced technology and products to maximize customer satisfaction.

What you will be doing

Sales leadership: 

  • Executes sales activities across the designated cluster with team and support functions to ensure consistent achievement of targets aligned to strategic goals of the EMEA organization. 
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key accounts (in consultation with the global key account management), understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction. 
  • Develops and implements comprehensive sales strategies, forecasts, budgets and goals that align with the cluster’s objectives and market dynamics. 
  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities for growth and expansion. 

 

People leadership: 

  • Leads the sales team within the designated cluster, sets appropriate individual objectives aligned with the EMEA strategies and targets. 
  • Motivates, develops and manages the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.  
  • Provides training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and sales skills. 
  • Promotes the Bystronic culture and values. Creates a positive, diverse and inclusive working environment for all team members. 

 

Coordination and Management: 

  • Fosters integration with Cluster Service Director to ensure a holistic customer experience across the entire customer journey. 
  • Builds up and maintains strong relationships between the sales team and other departments ensure quality and effective collaboration. 

Your education & experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Sales, Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years industrial sales experience (sheet metal and/or production equipment is a plus).  
  • At least 3 years management experience in Sales & Marketing, directing multiple Sales teams.  
  • Good understanding of the local manufacturing industry. 
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining effective customer and team relationships. 
  • Deep understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape.
  • English language skills in addition to local language within geography. 
  • Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time within the specific region plus occasionally outside.
