In a nutshell

At our Center of Excellence in Krakow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Global Financial Controller.

What you will be doing

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:
  • Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting across all regions within dedicated Division Systems. 
  • Maintains compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Coordinates external audits and prepares audit documentation. 
  • Oversees  compliance and internal control documentation. 
  • Analyses the financial results and reporting process of the division, and prepares financial comments where applicable, within the deadlines from the Group.
• Accounting Operations:
  • Supports the financial administration and internal control policies within the Division. 
  • Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. 
  • Monitors and balances cash flows into and out of a business to meet obligations and optimize investment.
  • Leads financial consolidation across global entities for dedicated division.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Ensures consistent budgeting standards across the Division. 
  • Assists or fully creates the budget, including incorporating historical data.
  • Collaborates with FP&A teams to prepare budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• Strategic & Operational Leadership:
  • Acts as a finance business partner to various departments. 
  • Provides financial insights to support strategic decisions. 
  • Drives process improvements, automation, and policy standardization. 
  • Creates and monitors company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud.
  • Assists in developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.
  • Identifies efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.
  • Supports the region in initiatives, like profitability, NWC, end to end transparency to enable the selling companies to meet agreed budgetary and process targets.
• Tax & Audit Coordination:
  • Partners with tax experts to ensure compliance on projects and newly implemented processes.
  • Coordinates with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.

Your education & experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting and/or controlling experience, preferably in an SAP R/3 environment.
• Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) are a plus but not required.
• Recognizable qualification in Finance, Business Administration or Economics, Accounting or Controlling
• Strong excel knowledge a must with more than a basic skill set MS Office (Word/PowerPoint) and Outlook also essential.
• Experienced in SAP and/or BI systems.
• Proven experience in a preferred similar role in an international Group. Solid understanding of business and financial terms.
• Strong finance know how (accounting, controlling, taxes, legal).
• Fluent written and oral English is a must, all other languages would be an asset.
