In a nutshell
The Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains standalone machines and technical equipment on-site on client premises, in accordance with standardised procedures. He/she continues learning by doing the practical work and extends and deepens his/her product skills.

What you will be doing
- Technical work:
- Installing, handing over and commissioning Bystronic machines at customer sites: ready for start- up according the Bystronic requirements.
- Assembles electric, pneumatic and hydraulic installations.
- Maintains Bystronic machines at customer sites and repairing electrics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Performs CNC/PLC software updates / downgrades and tests whether those were successfully on standalone machines.
- Resolves basic trouble-shooting cases, including the diagnosis- and analyses of the case.
- Supports the installation and operation of machines on fares and exhibitions.
- Customer interaction:
- Communicates effectively with customers and internal colleagues to ensure effective job preparation and completion, including outcomes and next steps.
- Instructs customers on
- machine safety
- maintenance
- operator knowledge at customer locations (giving operator training to the customer)
- Assists customer with physical activities (such as loading/unloading equipment).
Your education & experience
- Technical school, college or bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
- Work experience of min. 4 years maintenance, installation and/or service experience
- As this is a 6 to 12 months assignment in Australia, the candidate will apply for the work holiday visa where the requirement is candidate must be below 30 years old
