The ByTower Compact tower system from Bystronic Inc. delivers loading and unloading automation with integrated storage for laser cutting operations – and it does it all in a compact footprint. When paired with the company’s ByCut 3015, also considered a compact machine that is available with up to 30 kW of laser power, users achieve the productivity they need in the limited space they have.

When Bystronic designed the ByTower Compact, which combines storage capabilities with a fast load/unload system, the company’s goal was multi-faceted. For lightly manned or unmanned production, it delivers a range of fully automated functions, including automatic cassette changing and loading and unloading. Load/unload times happen within 180 sec. and can be reduced to as little as 70 sec. with Bystronic’s Fast Cycle option.

To maximize customers’ available space, the height of the storage tower can be customized to meet users’ varying requirements. And, to accommodate an even wider range of needs, customers can choose between two different configurations to handle sheet metal stacks either with or without wooden pallets.

The automated features of the system result in a higher utilization rate of the overall system while also eliminating or significantly reducing machine idle times. Ultimately, customers will be producing more parts in less time while also freeing up their staff to handle more critical tasks.
