News New Software Options Introduced during FABTECH Atlanta

Considerable interest was generated during FABTECH around the new Bystronic suite of fabrication software options.

During the recent FABTECH show in Atlanta, Bystronic had the opportunity to speak with many people visiting the Bystronic booth. When asked about the importance of software, the overwhelming responses were that it's a major consideration in purchasing of new equipment... it's a real differentiator. Below we detail the new software options introduced during the show.  

New OPC Interface gathers real-time machine and performance data for Bystronic laser and waterjet cutting systems. The user can transmit this information to his own monitoring systems. The OPC interface provides an important basis to increase the degree of utilization and the efficiency of cutting systems.

New Observer is a passive remote monitoring system that keeps the user up to date about the operating status of his systems and about how the processing of orders is progressing. Observer is accessed by means of web-enabled terminals, such as: desktops, notebooks, tablet computers and smartphones. Observer increases the process reliability of cutting systems. Orders can be calculated in a reliable and efficient manner, because unscheduled idle times and deviations from the planned time per piece are reduced.

New TeamViewer allows BySoft 7 users to start a remote help session with Bystronic software hotline technicians. Once the TeamViewer handshake information is completed, users can share their computer screen and give mouse control directly to the hotline technician to quickly diagnose and help with any software related questions. TeamViewer allows quick and effective troubleshooting capabilities for BySoft 7 is a standard feature included with the software maintenance subscription.

 

New PartID is an option of the Bystronic BySoft 7 CAD/CAM software. The identification code is generated with BySoft 7and then laser-engraved onto the part utilizing a Bystronic laser cutting system.  At the press brake, the PartID is subsequently registered by a scanner unit and the desired bending program can be loaded automatically. Parts marked with PartID also provide an excellent means of part traceability.
