News A Brand-New automated laser cutting center for VBG Truck Equipment
As part of the inauguration of their new Bystronic cutting center, Mr. Alberto Martinez, Chief Systems Officer of the Bystronic Group, gifted Mr. Ola Hermansson, Division CEO of Truck & Trailer Equipment of VBG, the traditional Swiss cowbell — a symbolic gesture celebrating this new milestone in VBG’s industrial journey.
A partnership strengthened over time
The collaboration between VBG and Bystronic began in 2017 with the acquisition of the company’s first fiber laser cutting system: a ByStar Fiber 3015, 8 kW, equipped with a single‑tower automation solution and an Xpert 200/3100 BendingCell, fully automated with a robot.
Today, VBG Truck Equipment takes a significant step forward with the commissioning of its new laser cutting center:
- ByCut Fiber 3015, 10 kW
- Integrated ByTrans Modular loading/unloading automation,
- A dual‑tower ByTower storage system for sheet material,
- A conveyor system,
- A dedicated gas-mixing installation.
This advanced configuration represents a major evolution in both production capacity and operational efficiency, supporting VBG’s long‑term strategy to perform all cutting operations in‑house and expand for the future.
