Behind the name Rachel P. is more than just a label for security doors: it is the story of a courageous woman, a clever idea, and a man with a vision. What began as a creative brand idea within the small metal construction company Europliage is now a growing business with a clear brand identity. Rachel P. stands for precision, character, and design, and for an entrepreneur who not only builds doors, but rethinks them.
Europliage is deeply rooted in the Côte d'Azur and close to the city of Nice. It has established itself as a reliable contract manufacturer in sheet metal processing in the south of France, and is now going one step further: with its own brand, Rachel P., the company produces a high-quality product under its own name. The business is growing – despite a challenging market environment. Why? Because Europliage doesn't just manufacture, it designs with vision and a sense of marketing: security doors that combine functionality and design. At the heart of the company is its own brand, Rachel P., named after its former owner, Rachel Paire. The creative mind behind the idea is Stanislas Lepeltier, the current owner.

From idea to growth driver
Eight years ago, while still acting as marketing manager at Europliage, Stanislas Lepeltier launched the Rachel P. brand as a tribute to his former boss Rachel Paire, who forged her own path in the male-dominated metal industry. Today, Rachel Paire is retired, and Stanislas Lepeltier runs the company himself, driving its development forward with great energy. “Rachel P. was never just a product. It was always an attitude. Today, it's my job to bring that attitude to life – and develop it further,” says Lepeltier confidently. He doesn't think in small steps:
We want to continue growing, tap into new markets, and further establish the Rachel P. brand in the premium segment.
In-house. Always. Everything.
The key to success: 100 percent in-house production. From the initial sketch to laser cutting, bending, welding, painting, and final assembly – everything happens under one roof at Europliage. This is the only way the company can guarantee the quality, precision, and flexibility that Rachel P. stands for. And it is precisely this control over every single step that makes the doors so special – both technically and in terms of design.
The Xpert Pro bending machine from Bystronic is a central component of production. It has significantly simplified manufacturing processes and noticeably increased reliability – a real milestone in development. It is complemented by the ByCut Smart laser cutting system (3015), which has completely replaced the previous CO₂ technology. Today, the two systems form a highly complementary digital production line that can be used to implement even complex projects efficiently and precisely.
The next development step is scheduled for summer: the planned automation with the ByTower Compact will massively increase capacity – without compromising on quality. “With the new solution, we are not only gaining efficiency, but also opening up new market opportunities,” explains Stanislas Lepeltier. “The machines enable us to implement even complex ideas economically.”
Another success factor is the company's own paint shop. Here, each door receives its own individual paint finish, tailored to the style and taste of the customer. Color selection, surface, finish: everything can be designed flexibly and directly on site. This not only ensures functional safety, but also allows for creative expression. Europliage is also uncompromisingly individual when it comes to design. The company has its own wood stocks for special projects, whether for door panels, design elements, or special solutions.
Doors and special orders
Despite its clear brand strategy, Europliage relies on a dual business model. Around 50% of sales come from customized security doors under the Rachel P. brand. The other half comes from sheet metal processing orders: precise laser cutting, small batch sizes or individual parts, and special solutions for industry, architecture, and mechanical engineering. “This balance is strategically important for us,” explains Lepeltier. “It gives us stability and the freedom to take creative and courageous approaches to door production – without economic pressure.”
Dynamism, passion, and team spirit
Stanislas Lepeltier brings not only entrepreneurial skills to the company, but also his personality. As a big basketball fan, he likes the qualities of the sport. "I'm a big Boston Celtics fan. I like the dynamism of the game, the precision, and the team spirit. The Celtics are a relatively small team – to be successful, they have to bring that certain something to the table. It is precisely this attitude that characterizes our work at Europliage," he says. His credo:
Only those who have the details under control can build strong products. And only those who put their heart and soul into it can develop a brand with charisma.
Regionally rooted. Forward-looking.
Although the market for security doors and metal construction is stagnating in many places, Europliage continues to grow – in a controlled but determined manner. There are many reasons for this: close customer ties in the region, short decision-making processes, a clear commitment to quality, and the desire to keep improving. “We don't just invest in machines – we invest in the future of our company,” says Lepeltier. He adds: “Our partnership with Bystronic gives us the necessary technological basis for this.”
Philippe Garcin, Sales Manager at Bystronic France, also values the collaboration with the visionary entrepreneur:
Stanislas Lepeltier is an extremely pragmatic doer
“In our collaboration – whether it was during the introduction of the bending machine or later with the laser – he was always focused on first creating a solid technical basis. Only then does he develop the processes and intelligently adapt the technology to the people in production. The exchange with him is always inspiring – because he combines technical know-how with a clear view of what is feasible."
An entrepreneur who surprises
Stanislas Lepeltier is emblematic of a new generation of entrepreneurs in industry: strategically minded, creative in his actions, and with a keen sense of the market needs. Contrary to the classic image of a contract manufacturer, he shows how marketing, communication, and technical expertise can be combined to create a sustainable mix. In the end, there remains a touch of irony: safety doors are not supposed to stand out. Nor would anyone have expected to find such an innovative company in this non descript industrial district near Nice. But this is exactly where progress is happening: door by door.
