News Bystronic Announces Kevin McAllister as President, Region Americas
McAllister, a dual Canadian - U.S. citizen, brings extensive executive leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, sales and marketing, and global operations. He joins Bystronic from ANDRITZ Schuler, the world’s largest manufacturer of presses, where he served as President of Schuler North America for seven years. During his tenure, the organization achieved record sales and profitability.
Focus on customer satisfaction
Prior to ANDRITZ Schuler, McAllister spent more than two decades at ABB, holding senior leadership positions across global and regional operations. Earlier in his career, he worked as a control systems engineer in Canada for an ABB customer providing a foundation for his strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

McAllister holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, and an Executive Leadership degree from IMD in Switzerland.

McAllister succeeds John-Paul Surdo, who departed the company at the end of 2025. In his new role, McAllister will report directly to Bystronic CEO Domenico Iacovelli and will serve as a member of the company’s Top Management Circle.
