In a nutshell

You will support our customers by installing, servicing, and troubleshooting Bystronic machines, ensuring reliable performance and outstanding customer satisfaction.

What you will be doing

Installation

  • Install, commission, and hand over Bystronic machines at customer sites in line with Bystronic requirements.
  • Assemble electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installations.
  • Support the installation and operation of machines at trade fairs and exhibitions.

Breakdowns

  • Diagnose and resolve troubleshooting cases, including root-cause analysis.

Maintenance

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on Bystronic machines (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems).

Machine Operation Support

  • Instruct customers on safety, maintenance, and operator knowledge.
  • Provide operator training at customer sites.
  • Assist customers with equipment handling (loading/unloading).
  • Provide technical advice as needed.
  • Perform CNC/PLC software updates and downgrades, verifying successful operation.

Other Responsibilities

  • Complete and communicate required reports (service reports, feedback, CRM documentation).
  • Request spare parts and oversee delivery to customers.
  • Contribute to quality improvements in line with ISO standards.
  • Support consultation on sales and service offers.
  • Take ownership of quality complaints, resolving and tracking progress.

Your education & experience

  • Technical school, apprenticeship, college, or bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering (or related field).
  • Ability to maintain and repair using electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience with CNC/PLC systems, including updates and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of axis, handling, and drive systems.
  • Familiarity with IT/software systems: DMS, CRM, LMS, Microsoft Windows.
  • Safety knowledge and confidence working in high-voltage and high-pressure environments.
  • Mechanical engineering expertise desirable.

What else you can bring to the table

  • Readiness to travel extensively (up to 100%).
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement processes.

Your edge

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance, installation, or service of complex machinery.
  • A proven track record of troubleshooting in high-pressure environments.
