The Aftersales Department put our customers first, aspire to truly understand their priorities, and then apply cutting-edge product solutions to meet these needs. Our Aftersales team are dedicated to help proactively look after our client’s machinery by promoting world class OEM products.

What you will be doing

  • The role is 50% office based and 50% customer facing.
  • Responsible for contributing to the achievement of after sales targets as agreed with local management and Bystronic service products portfolio in line with strategic service business unit. 
  • Responsible for developing & enhancing the relationship and revenue with customers with a specific focus on inactive and lost customers. 
  • To support, foster & grow long-term relationships with the customer base. 
  • To have a high, wide and deep contact list within the customer base, which is well maintained and documented within the CRM. 
  • Leads and promotes the Bystronic culture and values. Creates a positive and inclusive working environment for all team members. 
  • Supports the machines sales teams with after sales portfolio.
  • Regular research of local market potential, competitors, price levels in after sales business and reports back to HQ Product Manager. 
  • Supports the development of local campaigns with HQ Product Management based upon market needs & Service BU Strategic goals. 
  • Supports the aftersales portfolio at Bystronic events. 
  • Has no reactive or operational service responsibilities, the role is proactive on executing the sales strategies of the Service Organisation.

Your education & experience

  • Foundation business qualification 
  • Technical experience preferable

What you need to succeed

  • Proven sales skills to outperform market expectations. 
  • Have or can cultivate basic technical understanding of Bystronic equipment to enable credibility with customers during negotiations. 
  • Can be counted on to meet goals successfully; delivers high performance in challenging times constantly and consistently. 
  • Basic operating PC skills (CRM software, Excel and PowerPoint, BI tool). 
  • Customer Focus: Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. 
  • Strong communication skills. Able to communicate and explain situation effectively & clearly. 
  • Maintaining the standard of honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity all the time. 
  • Quick thinker who can react spontaneously as customers erect barriers to business. 
  • To have a broad and deep ability to communicate through different channels and different levels of the organization, with simplicity, concisely, patience, and active listening. 
  • Warm, positive personality to build and maintain solid working relationships with colleagues, superiors, and clients.
  • Accommodating to clients: Able to balance client’s and own organization’s needs to make sure that the customer is satisfied. 
  • Adaptable and flexible: being able to understand customer needs and challenges, bring them to the next level and add value. 
  • Local language within geography plus fluent English language skills. 
  • Acts as a conduit between the sales and the service organisations
  • Ability to create tailored packages that are multi-layered: parts / labour / consumables / training / upgrades.

  • Proven track record in a competitive business to business sales environment
  • Experience in sales process development, including lead generation through project closing

Work experience of minimum 5 years in a remote and/or face-to-face sales environment.
