Swiss bending technology at SteelFab 2016

This year Bystronic presented the Xpert 40 press brake at SteelFab 2016. The trade fair is the most important sheet metal processing industry event in the Middle East.

Already for the third time, Bystronic welcomed guests from the Middle East on its exhibition booth at SteelFab. The exhibition took place between 16 and 19 January in the Emirate of Sharjah (UAE). This year bending took center stage on the Bystronic exhibition booth. The exhibition visitors were able to see the fastest press brake in Bystronic's portfolio: the Xpert 40.

A Bystronic bending technology that proved particularly convincing was the Xpert 40's sophisticated machine concept. The compact press brake is geared towards the fast bending of small and varied sheet metal parts. Using just the minimum amount of space, the Xpert 40 offers a lot of speed: The machine achieves bending speeds of up to 25 millimeters per second. During live demonstrations on its exhibition booth, Bystronic showed how the Xpert 40 enables small parts to be bent three times faster than with a large machine. And all this with lower power consumption and reduced maintenance.

In addition to bending, laser cutting plays an important role for many users. For this reason, Bystronic set up its "Technology Wall" at the SteelFab exhibition. The information board is comprised of sample cut parts in a variety of materials and sheet thicknesses. This provides users with an overview that enables them to quickly determine which cutting technology is right for their manufacturing needs. Bystronic offers solutions for fiber laser cutting and CO 2 laser cutting.
