Alex Waser is CEO of the Bystronic Group since April 2013. From 2010 until joining the Conzzeta Group, Alex Waser worked at Ecolab Europe GmbH in Wallisellen, Switzerland, the European subsidiary of Ecolab, a US supplier of system solutions for the food processing industry. From 1994 to 2010 he worked for the SPX Group, a worldwide supplier of workshop equipment and diagnostic systems for the automotive industry. During this time he held various management positions in Europe and the US, finally as President of Service Solutions of SPX Europe GmbH in Hainburg (Germany), in charge of the regions Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Since 1 January 2013 Johan Elster leads the Business Unit Markets at Bystronic. In this position he is responsible for all markets except China. Johan Elster started his career at Bystronic in October 1996 as Managing Director of Bystronic Scandinavia. From 2007 to 2008 he held the position of Head of Market Region Northern Europe and from 2009 to 2012 as President of Market Division NAFTA and Europe North. Before joining Bystronic Johan Elster was Commissioning- and Start-up Manager at Ems Inventa AG.
Song You joined Bystronic on 1st of March 2016, as Representative Director and President of Bystronic China, being in charge of sales, market, service, product activities, and production at Bystronic’s factories in the region. Before taking up working for Bystronic, Dr. You held various management positions with the Delphi Corporation and the SPX Corporation in the US and China. He has an outstanding track record with responsibilities ranging from engineering and R&D to operations, from sales and markets to general management. In his last position he was Vice President of the SPX Corporation in charge of the Asia Pacific region.
Dr. Christoph Rüttimann, as the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at the Bystronic Group, is responsible for the Division Development as of November 2017. With over ten years of experience, Christoph Rüttimann has excellent knowledge in the field of machine manufacturing and laser technology. Among other things, he was Head of Customer Application as well as Head of Research & Development at ROFIN-LASAG AG. In his last position, he headed research & development at TRUMPF Schweiz AG.
Marco Vinanti is in charge of the Niederönz business location as Managing Director of the Competence Center Cutting since 1st of February 2015. He joined Bystronic in November 2010 as Head of Production. Prior to taking up work for Bystronic he held various management positions in a number of industries, such as power tools, medical devices, and mecanical engineering. His responsibilities covered production, logistics, purchasing, and product management.
Since 1st of May 2015, Sven Künkels is responsible for lean manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and purchasing in the role of Chief Operation Officer at Bystronic. Mr. Künkels joined the company as technical manager in January 2001 and worked as Technical Managing Director as of August 2001. Since October 2003 he is Managing Director of the Bystronic Competence Center Bending, being responsible for all areas of business. Prior to joining Bystronic, he was Operations Manager at Benthin AG. Before that he held various management positions at AUTOKRAFT GmbH and OTN Oberflächentechnik GmbH.
Since joining Bystronic on 1 August 2011, Cornelia Gehrig, Group CFO, is in charge of finances and IT at Group level. Before taking up work with Bystronic, she held various positions in a number of fields, such as audit and business consulting, insurance, plant construction, telecommunications, as well as in global management.
Since 1st of May 2012, Nicole Progin is responsible for Bystronic Human Resources at Group level. Prior to joining Bystronic, she held various HR management positions, amongst others at Swisslog AG in Buchs, Switzerland, as Head of Human Resources EMEA, and Centris AG in Solothurn, Switzerland, also as Head of Human Resources. Nicole Progin holds a degree in business administration and has completed a number of advanced training courses in the field of HR.
Jean-Pierre Neuhaus leads the worldwide CorCom and MarCom activities for the whole of the Bystronic Group, a position he holds since February 2003. Mr. Neuhaus has more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations, both at strategic and operational levels. Prior to his current position, he held various positions in the field of communications at the Swiss telecommunications group Ascom.
