Istanbul hosts Eurasian industry trade fair

Maktek is Turkey’s largest machine manufacturing and tool trade fair. At the exhibition, Bystronic unveiled the peak of laser power to its customers, with the 6-kilowatt BySprint Fiber.

Shortly before Euroblech, machine manufacturers from the Eurasian region met at the Maktek trade fair in Istanbul. Bystronic Turkey presented one of the exhibition highlights: the 6-kilowatt BySprint Fiber – the first 6-kilowatt fiber laser cutting system on the Turkish market. Bystronic also presented the ByAutonom CO 2 laser cutting system, the Xcite pressbrake and the BySoft 7 software package.  

“For us, Maktek 2014 was one of the best machine manufacturing exhibitions ever,” Managing Director of Bystronic Turkey Mustafa Kizilcik says . “500 customers visited our exhibition booth, including many from the Middle East. This resulted in numerous new projects for Bystronic Turkey.” Making its debut appearance in 2012, this was the second time that Bystronic participated in the Maktek trade fair. The event is held every two years and is widely considered to be Turkey’s largest mechanical engineering trade fair. Nearly 1400 exhibitors took part this year – spread across 15 exhibition halls, three of which were dedicated exclusively to sheet metal processing.
